Online Training Testimonials
I would like to extend my sincere thank you once again for this amazing program. Just when I thought the Peaceful Kids Course was incredible, I was absolutely impressed with the Peaceful Parents Course.

The detail and course content including the resources was not only informative but beautifully displayed, the course deepened my understanding and knowledge in being an effective Peaceful Parent Facilitator, giving me the confidence to deliver this amazing program very soon through the purchase of the Peaceful Kids Business Licence.

Elisa Brasher, Strathmore Secondary College, VIC
Your program, with its beautiful and generous content (including all the supporting materials, recordings, meditations, session plans...the list goes on) is really special Georgina. I feel inspired to introduce it to our little people, who we can hopefully gift with skills that will potentially change the way they experience their life and journey ahead. I love that it empowers them with knowledge and understanding, with tangible tools to manage the challenges we all inevitably face, to deal with big feelings such as worry and anxiety, but also in living a grateful and joyful life.

Chloe,  Cocoon Paediatrics TAS
Just reading through all the Aims of the Peaceful Classroom program, what a wonderful gift to teach children these skills that will help them through their life, I wish I had learnt all of this when I was growing up.

Marisol,  VIC
Thank you for your feedback and supporting me with this training experience. I enjoyed it and feel very fortunate to be able to begin my journey as a PK facilitator. I appreciate all the hours of work your team and you especially in making a truly comprehensive, professional model of training.

Beth Lynch,  VIC
Thank you so much for the amazing online training course, which I have just completed. It has been the best, most practical and most comprehensive professional development course I have undertaken in many years. You have put so much time, work and expert knowledge into creating a very user-friendly course. I feel so prepared personally and as a facilitator to start my first group when we return to school.

Sandra Martin, NSW
I found the course to be very insightful and of a high standard. The way yourself and others present in the videos is very calm, it is just lovely and you should all be very proud of what you do, as this is important work you are doing because it truly needs to be embedded from a young age combined with educators and significant others who are a safe trusting base. With your course practice encouraging educators to practice mindfulness this will definitely create more calmer and mindful educators.
Karen Barnes, NSW
This whole training has invaluable resources, together with beautiful visual activities, meditations, and useful books to compliment learning.   This course is full of fun learning skills for young people to become mindful.  By assisting them to understand how their brain works, be present mind focused, manage their thoughts, more in-tune with how and what their bodies are feeling in regards to their emotions and to have strategies to help them self-regulate.

A heartfelt thank you Georgie for designing such a beautiful course that we can bring to our young people.   We need this in every school. I love all the resources that you have provided.  Much appreciated.

Alyson Clements,  VIC
'I really enjoyed the course with the combination of the Zoom sessions and online training. It is the best online training I have completed. The way it was set out was so engaging and interactive, it really cemented my learning following the Zoom sessions as well. A big thank you to you and your team!'

Emma, TAS
I am over 80% through the course and have thoroughly enjoyed the content.  It has had a huge impact on me personally and for the family.  I can't wait to share this program with others in my local area in West Australia.

Thank-you so much for such a valuable course with incredible content. The quality of information and speakers was of such a high standard. It was such a comprehensive course and will be so valuable to share with kids at school, but also incredibly useful at a personal level. I was delighted by the ease of accessing all of the information and being able to submit my journal without any hassles. You've done a superb job with this online course.

Anyone can complete the online Peaceful Kids training.  However you will need to complete the Certificate in Mindfulness and Wellbeing training program if you intend to run the program and don't have any experience working with children.  If you intend to run the Peaceful Kids intervention program for profit, then you need to have a background in either education, mental health, social work, psychology, or wellbeing.  You can however run your own Mindfulness lessons and classes with this training, or use the Peaceful Kids 'Chill Out' Mindfulness lessons.

Who can facilitate the Peaceful Kids program?
Peaceful Kids can be run in schools, organisations, private practice or any organisation where staff work with children from Prep to Year 12.  Any member of school staff can run the Peaceful Kids program including Wellbeing Leaders, School leaders, Teachers, Psychologists or Counsellors. Independent practitioners such as psychologists, counsellors, social workers, chaplains, youth workers and mental health nurses can also facilitate the program.

How do I become accredited to facilitate the Peaceful Kids intervention program and what qualifications or experience do I need?
To become a Peaceful Kids Facilitator you need to have a background/qualification in Education, Psychology, Mental Health, Counselling, Social Work, Youth Work or Special Education.  Once you complete the 2 day training, you are able to facilitate the Peaceful Kids intervention program for children with anxiety and stress symptoms. Qualifications include: Diploma or Degree level in Education, Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Mental health, Counselling, Youth Work, School Nurse or Social Work.  If you have a Certificate in Education / Learning Support and no other qualifications, you will also need 3 years of experience working with children in schools.

I don’t have any qualifications in education or psychology can I still facilitate the Peaceful Kids program?
If you don’t have a background /qualification in these areas, then you can facilitate the Mindfulness lesson component of the Peaceful Kids program which is called the ‘Peaceful Kids Chill Out’ sessions for children.  These are weekly Mindfulness & Meditation sessions for children.  You will need to complete the whole Certificate in Mindfulness & Wellbeing For Children to facilitate the Chill Out sessions.   You can then become a Peaceful Kids ‘Chill Out’ Facilitator. You won’t be able to facilitate the Peaceful Kids Intervention program.

I am parent and would like to attend just to support my child - can I complete the online training?

Yes anyone can complete the training.  Parents can complete the course for their own interest and learning to support their own children. You will need to keep in mind though that some discussions and resources will be geared towards facilitating the programs or lessons with children after the course.   You won't be able to facilitate the Peaceful Kids Intervention program unless you have a background and qualifications in Education, Counselling or Psychology (see above) however if you complete the whole certificate course you will be able to facilitate the Mindfulness 'Chill Out' sessions with children.

Picture
I am not a counsellor, so it is ok to run the Peaceful Kids program for children who are suffering from anxiety?
Yes.  This program is specifically designed to be run as a life skill and education based program and not a counselling program.   This program is an educational program that gives children and young adults the skills and strategies to manage their stress levels, anxiety and build resilience.  You do however need to have qualifications in psychology or education (see previous questions) to facilitate the Peaceful Kids Intervention program.  If you don't have experience working with children you can facilitate the 'Chill out' Mindfulness lessons component of the training with children.

What if I am concerned about a student during the Peaceful Kids intervention program?
You can refer a child to a psychologist or counsellor if you feel they need additional support or if you have a psychologist at your school /organisation you can share your concerns with them.

Do I have to run the Peaceful Kids program after the course?
No, there is no requirement to facilitate the Peaceful Kids intervention program after you finish the course.  You can use the certificate training to run your own Mindfulness lessons or complete the course just for your own professional or personal development.  You may even like to integrate the learning into your own existing business such as your counselling practice or yoga lessons.

What can I do once I finish the certificate course?
There are many options once you complete the course.  You can facilitate the 'Peaceful Kids' program using all the resources and programs given to you in the course, either in a non for profit setting such as a school or for profit in private practice.

If you are intending to run the Peaceful Kids programs for profit and use any of the resources given in the course, then you will need to purchase the business licence.

You can also run your own mindfulness lessons for children by integrating the learning into your own programs or services that you have created or currently facilitate, or use the learning and program material in your school if you are an educator.

What is the Business Licence?
The Business Licence allows you to become an independent Peaceful Kids Facilitator in your own business.

Peaceful Kids facilitators who attend the training do not need to purchase the licence if they are running the program within their own school or organisation as a non for profit service.

However if you would like to run your own Peaceful Kids classes and program for profit in your own business or private practice, program graduates can purchase the Peaceful Kids Licence and Kit. The Licence allows you to develop your private practice, delivering the Peaceful Kids program in schools, organisations, hospitals, wellbeing centres, private venues or as a specialist after school program. The additional Peaceful Kids Kit provides you with everything you will need to build your own successful Peaceful Kids business including advertising on the Peaceful Kids website.  Find more information here on the Business licence.

Do I have to purchase the Business Licence to run the program?

You only need to purchase the business Licence if you intend to run the program for profit in your own business.  If you are in a school or a community organisation you can run both the Peaceful Kids intervention program and Chill out sessions with students without purchasing the licence.

Can I just facilitate Mindfulness/Meditation lessons for children and not the Peaceful Kids intervention program for children?
Yes the online training includes both the Peaceful Classrooms and Peaceful Kids training and resources, so you can choose to facilitate either at the end of the course.  The Peaceful Classrooms component of the training is where you will learn how to lead children in Mindfulness activities and meditations and you will be able to deliver the Mindfulness program to children of any age.

I already have my own yoga / meditation business, can I complete the online training just for professional learning?
Yes, the course is designed to increase your knowledge and experience in delivering mindfulness lessons and programs to children.  You don’t have to use any of the resources given or facilitate any of the programs that your learn, you can just use the learning from the program and integrate this into your own current business.  Some people combine the mindfulness learning with their own Yoga qualifications to combine weekly classes of Yoga and Meditation for children. or combine both the 'Chill Out' lessons alongside Yoga classes.  If you use any of the Peaceful Kids or Peaceful classrooms resources, then you need to purchase a business licence.

I am a meditation teacher and currently working only with adults and would like to now work with children.  Will this online training help me to do this?
Yes, this training will give you the skills to facilitate mindfulness lessons and strategies with children.  However, if you don’t have any experience of working with children, you will need to complete the whole Certificate n Mindfulness and Wellbeing for Children.
