Peaceful Kids – Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to all individuals who register for, access, or participate in the Peaceful Kids facilitator training programs, workshops, online sessions, and related services ("Training"). By booking or participating in Training, you agree to these Terms of Use.
 
1. About Peaceful Kids
Peaceful Kids provides wellbeing, mindfulness, and emotional regulation training programs for educators and mental health professionals who work with children, including facilitator training and professional development. Training may be delivered in person or online using secure third-party platforms.
 
2. Eligibility and Booking
  • Training is available to adults aged 18 years and over unless otherwise stated.
  • By booking, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
  • Peaceful Kids reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking if eligibility requirements are not met
 
3. Collection and Use of Personal Information
Peaceful Kids collects personal information that is reasonably necessary to deliver Training and manage participation. This may include:
  • Name and contact details
  • Organisation or school (if applicable)
  • Booking and payment information
  • Attendance and completion records
 
Personal information is collected directly from you or from an authorised organisation making a booking on your behalf.
Your personal information is used for purposes including:
  • Managing bookings and attendance
  • Delivering Training and related materials
  • Communicating important information about Training
  • Meeting legal, safeguarding, and reporting obligations
Sensitive information is only collected where necessary and with appropriate consent.
 
4. Privacy and Confidentiality
Peaceful Kids is committed to protecting personal information and manages it in accordance with applicable Australian privacy obligations.
Reasonable steps are taken to safeguard personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Measures include:
  • Use of secure, password-protected systems
  • Restricted access to authorised personnel only
  • Use of reputable third-party platforms for booking, communication, and online delivery

5. Online Delivery and Third-Party Platforms
Training may be delivered using third-party platforms (such as video conferencing and learning platforms). By participating, you acknowledge that:
  • Limited personal information (such as your name and contact details) may be shared with these providers solely for delivery of Training
  • Peaceful Kids selects reputable providers that implement appropriate security and privacy controls
  • Peaceful Kids is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms beyond reasonable due diligence.
 
6. Participant Conduct
Participants agree to:
  • Engage respectfully with facilitators and other participants
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal stories shared during Training
  • Not record, distribute, or reproduce Training content without written permission
 
Peaceful Kids may remove participants from Training for inappropriate or unsafe behaviour.
 
7. Intellectual Property
All Training materials, content, and resources are the intellectual property of Peaceful Kids unless otherwise stated. Materials are provided for personal or professional development only and may not be copied, shared, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
 
8. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund conditions will be provided at the time of booking and may vary depending on the Training format.
 
9. Limitation of Liability
Training content is educational in nature and does not replace professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. To the extent permitted by law, Peaceful Kids is not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in Training.
 
10. Changes to Terms of Use
Peaceful Kids may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The most current version will be made available prior to booking on the Peaceful Kids website.
