Peaceful Classrooms is the Mindfulness Coaching Train the Trainer component of the Peaceful Kids program on Day 1. This Mindfulness based program suitable for students from Prep to Year 12. This program has been created to enable students to practice daily mindfulness exercises and meditations in the classroom led by their classroom teacher. Peaceful Classrooms helps students to build their emotional resilience so they are better equipped to deal with the day to day stresses that life brings them.

Can I run the program for profit in my own business?
Peaceful Kids facilitators who attend the training do not need to purchase the licence if they are running the program within their own school or organisation as a non for profit service. However if you would like to run your own Peaceful Kids classes and program for profit in your own business or private practice, program graduates can purchase the Peaceful Kids Licence and Kit. The Licence allows you to develop your private practice, delivering the Peaceful Kids program in schools, organisations, hospitals, wellbeing centres, private venues or as a specialist after school program. The additional Peaceful Kids Kit provides you with everything you will need to build your own successful Peaceful Kids business including advertising on the Peaceful Kids website. Find more information here on the Business licence.
How do I become trained in the Peaceful Kids program?
You will need to attend the 2 day training program. If you have already completed the 1st day of Mindfulness training then you only need to complete day 2. If you would like to run the Peaceful Kids program privately you will also need to purchase the business licence. If you are running it in your organisation you only need to complete the 2 day training.
I am not a counsellor, so it is ok to run a program for children who are suffering from anxiety?
Yes. This program is specifically designed to be run as a life skill and education based program and not a counselling program. This program is a life skills program that gives children and young adults the skills and strategies to manage their stress levels, anxiety and build resilience.
What if I am concerned about a student during the program?
You can also refer a child to a psychologist or counsellor if you feel they need additional support or if you have a psychologist at your school / organisation you can share your concerns with them. You also have ongoing support from your Peaceful Kids trainer if needed and you are welcome to call or email with questions during the program.
How is the program run at schools, organisations or in private practice?
•You will identify children at your school or organisation that are showing signs of anxiety or poor resilience and group them into junior or senior groups.
•You will meet with the children once a week for 8 weeks for approximately 1 hour and guide them through the program.
•Children are then able to practice their new skills during the week at home including following a guided mindfulness meditation that can be accessed online. There is also parental involvement with the home exercises, although this is not completely necessary for secondary students.
•After your Peaceful Kids training you will have the confidence to follow the program each week with the provided resources and Facilitator Manual.
